Paul was born in Dublin and bred in Ladbroke Grove. He has grown up with music all his life. "My dad's a keyboard player, he's a rock'n'roller," Paul says of Scotty, who played alongside Rolling Stones' Ronnie Wood and Keith Richards in the Dirty Strangers, toured with Chuck Berry and jammed with Bob Marley at Island studios. By the age of 15 years, Paul had developed a musical love of his own. He started to produce community projects with local mc's in Ladbroke Grove and because of his involvement with graffiti in the late 80's also began to teach local kids Graffiti. He was writing scores for television by the age of 19 and had a club track hit the UK club charts by age 21. He has djayed all over the UK and his first band Border Crossing supported De La Soul and played alongside The Beastie Boys. He wrote Searching for Mr Manuva which recieved critical acclaim and a remix by Mr Scruff. He wrote Future Blues which featured the legend Ricky Rankin, he remixed The Alias, More To life (clean mix) and No Go Area (sun mix) which featured on the now acclaimed Ominous album. He has scored for tv commericials and documentaries. Paul has now left Border Crossing to begin on his soundtrack work (Music for animals) with his brass band (scrambled heads) and develop his solo project, Paddywax.
