Philadelphia based Undercast is a newer blend of hard rock emerging from it's establishment in 2004. The quartet's mix of loud, but progressive, melodic rock, has been rapidly gaining interest in Philadelphia area and the online community. Designed and created from each members wide variety of influences, Undercast captures a fresh and moody sound, emphasizing their distinctive place in the rock genre. Continually evolving with each collaboration of material, Undercast presents an intriquing and limitless stance in today's realm of rock.Undercast is currently playing the Philadelphia, PA suburb and tri-state area venues such as: Grape Street , The Northstar, The Nail, The Pontiac, The Fire, The Khyber, The Chesnut Room, The Trocodero, TLA and more, sharing the stage with the areas best rock bands along with some national touring bands. The band also released their self titled EP in March 2005 which gained the interest of many listeners of with songs such as "Periodical Engagement", "Sermon", "The Pull" and "Desecrate" being airplayed on comercial, college radio and networking web stations and podcasts.
The band just released the first installment of a two EP release of "SEVERED", which they recorded at SLUGFEST RECORDING STUDIO with the talents of Kevin Wesley Williams and Joe Mattis. Music from this release will be featured on JAXON'S LOCAL SHOT Vol.4, Philly's Rock station 93.3's local cd showcase put together by WMMR DJ JAXON.
"...Undercast is seriously the most talented and most intoxicating rock band that I've come across from Philly...","You'll relate to the music itself. It has a magnetic quality that draws you to it. It latches onto whatever's on your mind, and leaves you in an almost euphoric state, where nothing else matters but the music." -Jennifer Mattern Editor of audioxposure.com
From Origivation Magazine's June 2005 EP review on Undercast by: Kevin Keating "Undercast features strong guitar work, well constructed songs, and a really well-defined blend of melody and angst. Throughout the EP, they delivered enough suprises to keep me from branding them just another hard rock band."
