Hmmm???? I have met a lot of people that I thought of as a child..... Okay I would like to meet "Sidney Poitier". I was really blow away by him as a young black child growing up in the inner city of Chicago. Films like "A Rasin in the Sun" taught me many valuable lessons about what a black man has to endure and over come if his path is to be one of integrity and honor. Words that we don't talk of alot now a days in the black community.

As far as music goes you can't go wrong in my book I like everything. In fact that has been my biggest strong suit growing up in a place as diverse as Chicago where one day you are playing Blues then on another you are playing Funk then Be-Bop that next day. So my taste change with my moods. I might want to listen to Jimi Hendrix one moment then the Yeah Yeah Yeahs another or Chalres Mingus to MAZE featuring Frankie Beverly.I belive that if you are open that you can find yourself in any style. There's always good if you look for it.
This is pretty cool too. Ben Taylor and David Saw are both inspiring composers I know I have a renewed feeling about what music is doing because of these guys.
I could go on for ever about movies. Ask any of my friends and they can tell you how obssed I am with film. In fact I have been directing the last few years and I will create a myspace account for that too. I like everything from Action to thillers. Like visually interesting things like "Underworld" or "The Matrix" then I am a sucker for just beautiful plots simple or complexed. I watch about two movies a day at least. (It's probably why I don't get a lot of sleep)
I could go on for hours about "TV Gilligan's Island" come on "The Dick Van Dyke Show"!!! "Lost", "Stargate", "Star Trek" for that matter. hell "The Flintstones" don't get me started with TV. New old black & white cable, satalite, I'm in. Sports talk shows I am the banner child of the boob tube. I'm even into CNN.
I'm reading this book right now by "Ken Follett" pretty talented dude if you get a chance I highly recomend it. The title is "The Pillars of the Earth". I also highly recomend, and I have to say it's one of my personal favorites is a book titled "Many Lives Many Masters" by Weiss it will change your life trust. It's not even about it but I overcame my fear of flying after I read it and it definitely empowers you. "Think and Grow Rich" is actually a good read too.
Have to say my mother would easily be at the top of that list. We were driving from Peroia, Illinois back to Chicago and if you know anything about that part of the country the interstate is almost completely filled with nothing but farmland and from the road that means nothing in sight for as far as you can see. On the way the car over heated, mind you there is not a gas station for at least 15 or 20 miles in either direction, and this back before cell phones I was shook up over the whole situation and said maybe I can walk to one of those farm houses (which where probably set two or three miles off the interstate) and what she said to me has stayed with me all my life. she said "I only know to keep moving forward" so we drove for a while and the car would over heat then we'd stop cool off and drive again. We made it back. And because of her strenght I have always made it. Superman, Spiderman very cool but heroes my mother covered that one.James Taylor has always been a really big influence on me both as a guitarist and a composer. This is a favorite of many favorite songs of his.Steve Weingart band! We always have a blast! One of my favorite tunes of Steve's
