About Me

Welcome to my personal page. My name is Kiskeya (Kiss-Kay-Yah) and I'm from the beautiful island of Haiti. I'm a music producer by trade but a humanitarian by heart. This page is my attempt to bring awareness of what's going on around the world and what each of us can do to lend a hand.
Take time to visit these non-profit organizations, read the blogs and share your opinions. Lend a hand where you can and spread the word.
"I am only one, But still I am one. I cannot do everything, But still I can do something; And because I cannot do everything I will not refuse to do the something that I can do." Keller, Helen
RWANDA
During about 100 days from April 6 through mid-July, 1994. At least 500,000 Tutsis and thousands of moderate Hutus died in the Rwandan genocide while the international community did nothing. By the time it finally ended, some estimates put the death toll between 800,000 and 1,000,000
"You will be judged in years to come by how you responded to genocide on your watch."
Nicholas D. Kristof
DARFUR
The Coalition for International Justice estimated that 450,000 people in Darfur have died since the deadly genocide began 4 years ago. We can make a difference. We can save lives. We can stop the genocide. .
As many as 2.5 million have been driven from their homes in the Darfur region of Sudan.
Many US investment firms have huge holdings of shares in PetroChina, a Chinese oil company that is one of the worst offenders helping to fund the genocide in Darfur.
Help cut off financial support for the government-sponsored violence in Darfur! Urge investment firms to divest their holdings from PetroChina and other companies that help fund the genocide.
Send this pre-filled LETTER to these investment firms and demand that they change their practices.
They can't ignore our voices.

My Interests

Women's Right

Du’a Khalil Aswad was a 17-year-old Iraqi Kurd of the Yazidi faith who was stoned to death in an honor killing for falling in love with a Sunni Muslim boy. Her stoning was filmed on mobile phones and widely distributed throughout the Internet.

Over 5000 women and girls are killed every year by family members in so-called 'honour killings', according to the UN. Visit International Campaign Against Honour Killings and demand that those responsible are brought to justice.

These shirts below give everyone a mean to stand up and be counted among those who refuse to accept this situation as an acceptable status quo. Du’a cannot speak for herself, it’s up to us to speak on her behalf.

I may be a man, but I am Du’a Khalil.

All proceeds will be donated to Equality Now , a global organization that works to end violence and discrimination against women and girls around the world through the mobilization of public pressure .

Children Slave In Haiti

Haitian children enslaved by poverty are forced into domestic labor. An estimated 300,000 children in Haiti are either child laborers or restavecs.

“Poverty is a reality but not an excuse" Jean-Robert Cadet

Now that we know the truth, together we can act to give hope and even freedom, to those who need it most. Visit Restavec Freedom and save a child slave.
