Immigration Detention Watch Network

Stop the use/expansion of immigration detention!

About Me

The Detention Watch Network (DWN) is the only national coalition in the United States that addresses the immigration detention and enforcement crisis head-on and helps detainees and their loved ones make their voices heard. Formed in 1997 in response to the rapid growth of the immigration detention system in the United States, DWN is a network of individuals and organizations working in support of, and in service to, immigrants in detention. For more information, see Detention Watch Network website

NOTE ABOUT POLITICAL CANDIDATE PROFILES AND CAMPAIGNS: Detention Watch Network (DWN) is a coalition of organizations and individuals working to educate the public and policymakers about the US immigration detention and deportation system and advocate for humane reform. DWN does not take positions as an entity, but facilitates the advocacy of its members. We do not engage in any electoral work and cannot include any information from candidates in our comments, friends or blog components of this MySpace profile.

Our Mission: Standing in solidarity with immigrants, the Detention Watch Network (DWN) works to change the U.S. immigration detention system so that all who come to our shores receive fair and humane treatment.

I'd like to meet:

Individuals and organizations interested in advocating for the rights of immigrants, asylum-seekers, refugees and their families that have been affected by detention and deportation in the United States.
