About Me

Breakthrough is a human rights org based in NYC and India that creates media to teach human rights!
Check out our new video game on immigration below!
America should be a place that respects basic human rights, but now unfair immigration laws are denying basic due process to immigrants that live in the United States.
These laws affect all immigrants: legal permanent residents, asylum seekers, students and undocumented people.
Unfair immigration laws:
Deny a fair day in court and deport people without a hearing
Tie judges’ hands and prevent them from considering the circumstances of each individual case
Impose unjust punishment
Hold immigrants in detention indefinitely
What Have We Done?
We recently produced a much-talked about video game on immigration called ICED - I Can End Deportation
Breakthrough and DWN have just produced a much-needed interactive immigrant rights toolkit about the 1996 immigration laws, which includes:
*Nine video stories from those who are directly affected by unfair immigration laws, two animations and one music video.
*A discussion guide which includes sample interactive activities, our demands for change, talking points and additional resources.
Download the toolkit here!
