I'd like to meet:

We have always believed that community is the creator of theater, and that theater is the creator of community. In that spirit we are inviting you to join us as a valued member of our creative community.
As artistic director and founder of El Teatro Campesino, which was born on the picket lines of the Delano Grape Strike with Ceasar Chavez in 1965, I welcome your membership.
As one of the grandfathers of modern Latino Theater in America, El Teatro Campesino is known around the world as a Vibrant Theater! Our company is largely self-supporting, without city, county, state or federal grants.
This year we are again embarking on a membership campaign. Due to the lack of grants and monies to fund cultural arts organizations in our area, we find ourselves perilously close to being unable to provide the plays you have come to know and love. And so we are asking you to help continue the legacy. Where farm workers once packed fruit, El Teatro Campesino now packs dreams. Join us in celebrating our 43nd year and become a member of El Teatro Campesino. --Luis Valdez
