My Interests

I wouldn't think it sucked if you added this fun little widget to your profile. Just hit share.

My name is Jennifer Perkins and this is my life summary in short sentences: I run an online jewelry store called Naughty Secretary Club . I also host two TV shows called Stylelicious and Craft Lab - both on DIY Network. I co-produce an Austin fashion show called Stitch. I am a member of the Austin Craft Mafia. Lastly, I co-own a record label called Has Anyone Ever Told You.

- I walk my dog Lucy with my husband Chris every evening around my neighborhood. - I could eat Mexican and Thai food for every single meal. - My dining room floor is painted polka dots. - I have a giant naked picture of Burt Reynolds framed above my fire place. - I am also a Dolly Parton fan which means I love the Best Little Whorehouse in Texas since it has both Burt and Dolly. -I like to make earrings.

- I have a degree in psychology and a minor in philosophy. - I am a compulsive collector (all things Vintage, Asian or Tiki) - Oh and dont forget my collections of Enid Collins purses, Bakelite jewelry and bowling trophies. - I have a black cat named Georgie, but I do not walk her. - I have a younger sister named Hope who runs a web business called Hot Pink Pistol. -I sell my sister and my mothers purses on my website.

- My husband Chris is in a band called Beta Valentine. - My favorite beer is Harp and mixed dink of choice are Mojitos. - I have 3 tattoos and a pierced lip. - I like to dress up and have so many pairs of shoes and matching hand bags it is downright embarrassing. - I tend to swear a lot. - I like to make fun hair clips! I sell my mom's tissue box covers and pillows too!

- I am addicted to thrift store shopping and scheduled my wedding around a flea market so I could attend. - I lived in London for a semester in college. - Once I won an art contest in Jr. High for a picture of Axel Rose I drew. - My favorite thing in the world is coming out of a cold building or restaurant in the summer. Being painfully cold and then instantly toasty. - Necklaces are my favorite thing to make.

- I was born in Dallas, raised in North Texas, went to school in San Macros and currently live in Austin (all Texas). - My husband and I fight over what is better to buy CDs or vinyl. So we end up with tons of both. - I have a soft spot for metal and in the last several years have seen the following in concert: Van Halen (with Hagar), David Lee Roth (solo), Poison, Ratt, Whitesnake, Dokken, Warrant, Vince Neal (Motley Crue) and I am sure all the opening bands I am forgetting. - On the flip side of that I also went and saw Prince, Dolly Parton and Hall and Oates last year. - I like jewelry that starts with the letter B like Bracelets and Brooches.
- I am an awful speller. - I like to make jewelry that makes me happy and is funny.

I'd like to meet:

My web store customers, people who have heard of Naughty Secretary Club, Other Indie designers, peeps that might like my jewelry, people that watch Craft Lab or Stylelicious - I'm really not picky.

Movies:

GREASE 2, URBAN COWBOY & THE BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS ARE THE BEST MOVIES OF ALL TIME! Rear Window, Drowning by Numbers, Casino, Time Bandits, The Last Unicorn, Valley Girl, Mrs. Doubtfire, The Royal Tennebaums, Suspiria, Krull, Paradise Lost, Brother's Keeper, The Cook the Thief the Wife and her Lover, The Nightmare Before Christmas, 16 Candles, Breaking the Waves, Breakfast club, Mom and Dad Save the Universe, Dancer in the Dark, Normal, Grease, Chun King Express, High and Low, Opera, Heavenly Creatures, Poltergeist, Cyclo, 9 to 5, Lost in Translation

Television:

Forensic Files, Golden Girls, Cold Case Files...pretty much anything about old ladies or getting away with murder.

Books:

I think I may have forgotten how to read. All I look at are fashion magazines. Then to top that the magazines I really like are from Japan and I can only look at the pictures. Sadly if I read books they are about marketing and running a small business. I am going on a road trip with my parents in July and I bet we listen to a book on tape, that kind of counts.

Heroes:

I don't have a hero, but that question made me think of this little ditty from the Greatest American Hero...Look at what's happened to me, I can't believe it myself. Suddenly I'm up on top of the world, It should've been somebody else.Believe it or not, I'm walking on air. I never thought I could feel so free eee eee. Flying away on a wing and a prayer. Who could it be? Believe it or not it's just me.It's like a light of a new day, It came from out of the blue. Breaking me out of the spell I was in, Making all of my wishes come true ue ue.Believe it or not, I'm walking on air. I never thought I could feel so free eee eee. Flying away on a wing and a prayer. Who could it be? Believe it or not it's just me.
