After a 4-year hiatus, Our Own Somewhere released a 4-song EP entitled "Wherever You Go" in 2005. This time, Chris recorded in a proper studio at maximum volume, which means, among other things, that he got a better drum sound.
In May 2007, Chris released a full-length CD entitled "The Day I Realized I Might Not Make It." Eleven songs of introspection, this is Chris' first release under his own name. While not a concept album, "The Day.." has a singular running theme throughout: coming of age and the realization that follows. At the time of this writing, Chris is almost 33 years old. This is an age which one tends to realize that life might not work out the way it was planned. For better or for worse, life is what it is. Learning to deal with that is the difficult part. This record is outlet for the frustration and disappointment that life brings. This is Chris' way of dealing with it.
