About Me

Welcome to my little internet loft (I always wanted a loft), so a loft it will be... virtual will do just fine for now. I love this joint cause I've truly made some wonderful friends here. I'm blessed. I figured I wouldn't fill this space (my space) with the history of me...bla bla bla, you can stop by my homepage WWW.DINAREGINE.COM for the scoop, or MYSPACE.COM/NAKED GRAPE (for a big haired vintage scoop). If you're curious about my DJ work, you can visit me at MYSPACE.COM/DJDINAREGINE & WWW.DJDINAREGINE.COM. Perhaps I should just have one page and call it mylife.com??? But for now, glad you made it here, have a drink, have a listen, read a blog, eat a pizza ... and hang for awhile. Cheers! Oh yeah, one thing...stop by say hello, leave a comment, but PLEASE don't use this page for massive GENERIC self promo billboard sized adds... be cool. hugs xxx dina ****************************** Ps: Anotherman is from an EP of demos released June 2005 called 'Blame it on the Moon' (Anotherman charted 19 in Best Female Vocals in Folk Rock's all-time charts on GARAGEBAND). Beautiful (won first place in the Folk category of the VH-1 Save the Music Song of the Year Awards) is from my first CD 'Be as it Will'.****************************************************** *********************I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4

Band Members: Dina Regine ********* There's no real band to speak of, just some wonderful players that stop by and make magic. I've played all the guitars, triolian, and an assortment of instruments on both CD's (as well as the vocals, but you knew that...). Some of the supagroovy musicians that have played on my last 2 CD's are Jerry Arias, Alan Geveart (Chris Whitley, dEUS), Will Lee (Fab Faux, David Letterman Show), Kieran McEvoy(co wrote 'Leave it all Behind' with me, but ran off to Dublin too soon & never got to lay down some of his sugar...I miss your guitar honey)Martha Colby, Jefferson Thomas, Tim Luntzel (Jesse Harris & the Ferdinandos, Bright Eyes, Jim Campilongo), Russ Reilly, Sonny Barbato (Jennifer Jackson), Michelle Casillas (Ursa Minor), Kasim Sultan (Todd Rundgren, Joan Jett), Trina Hamlin, David Bravo (Jack Bruce), Malcolm Gold (Trans-Siberan Orchestra, Sheryl Crow), Bill Dobrow (Martha Wainwright, Black Crows, Joy Askew).
Influences: Pizza, pasta, chocolate, red red wine, old movies from the 1940's, Richard Avedon, every camera I've ever had, my bike, skates, & skis, Bill Hickey, Dorothy Parker, my family, my friends, the Hudson River at sunset, being in love, not being in love, living life ****** As far as music goes, I guess everything influences me in some way, I have no boundaries with music and I listen to everything (hell, I also work as a DJ!). But these artists (just to name a few...past and present) have have crawled under my skin and have touched me in a special way.... Chris Whitley, Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, Neil Young, Wilco, White Stripes, Lucinda Williams, Bonnie Rait, Prince, Ricki Lee Jones, Daniel Lanois, Keith Richards (and the rest of the Rolling Stones too), The Animals, Kinks, Leonard Cohen, U2, Taj Mahal, Terry Reid, Bill Withers, Morpphine, Lou Reed, The Pretenders, Furry Lewis, Robert Johnson, Leon Russell, Nick Drake, Bonnie Bramlett, David Bowie, Steve Marriott, Julie Driscol/Brian Auger Trinity, Just about every Atlantic Soul & Phil Spector recording, James Brown, Frank Sinatra, Patsy Clyne, James Taylor, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Joni Mitchell, Mark Lanegan & the list still continues ;-)

Sin-e was one of my favorite places to play & the vibe was always great. This is a snippit of 'Never Known Love' (a little lo fi..but hey...it's only rock n roll..but I like it, like it...yes I do!!!). Thanks Rocky for the clip
Sounds Like: a little bit of this...a little bit of that...a lotta bit of me.
