About Me

RANGE WAR was one of the first bands in the early eighties to blend Hard Rock and Country music together. Led by singer songwriter and guitarist Dan Snyder, the band were regulars at New York City's CBGB's. the Lone Star Cafe and Roadhouse and the Cat Club. Known for strong song writing and having great guitarists, Range War developed a following among music fans and musicians alike. Everyone from Punks,Country Music Fans to Metal Heads were coming to our gigs. The first incarnation of RANGE WAR consisted of 2 guitar players, bass, 2 drummers, fiddle player ( Soozie Tyrell of Bruce's band ) and a 3 piece mariachi horn section ! This site will give you a taste of RANGE WAR'S past and present. Dan Snyder and Dan Hickey have been playing together for over 20 years and continue making vital music with RANGE WAR and COMMUNIST SEX CAMP. Range War would like to thank Billy Straus for the help and all the support throughout the the years. And for being the producer on Range War's Truce album released in Europe in 1992. So my friends enjoy your stay. We'll be updating regularly, and don't forget to support LIVE MUSIC,and please leave your comments.
