About Me

"Eclipse" This song was on my first record, Folding Stars in a different version. I still play it at solo shows all these years later, and a few years ago I recorded a bunch of acoustic tracks with my friends Andy Hollander and Bob Smith in NYC, and spontaneously came up with this reinvention of the song. Andy plays the amazingly spooky piano.
"Morning Glories" (acoustic version) - In an effort to post some more unreleased stuff, I’ve added this version of "Morning Glories" - it was recorded in NYC with Byron Isaacs and Lee Feldman as part of a record I made called "Ballads and Breakdowns." Even though I really like the album, it has yet to see the light of day. But here’s a little taste of it.
"Don’t Believe It" (demo version) - A new one recorded the day after I wrote it. Brandau’s drumming and playing Rhodes bass.
Born in Florida, schooled in the Frozen North, lived in China, paid dues in NYC, now living and working in Chapel Hill, NC. Co-founded International Orange (with Robert Sledge, Snuzz, and Jason Fagg), and now leads the cinematic rock juggernaut known as The Old Ceremony
( www.theoldceremony.com ,
myspace.com/theoldceremony ) .
The Old Ceremony’s debut CD (featuring 12 Django originals) is available at theoldceremony.com as well as iTunes, CDbaby, etc.
TOC’s followup album, "Our One Mistake," is also now available on sonaBLAST records. You can order the cds here , or get it on iTunes.
