After being open since the start of March 2006, the Gasworks has been going from strength to strength. We have been inundated with bands wanting to play and we just can’t get everyone on, but we try if we like what we hear about them. So in the interim we have been doing regular tribute bands and most of the time not charging as a gesture to the people who have backed us to get the place off the ground and the latter has well and truly worked.
We try to make your stay at the club as safe as possible and the fact that the Gasworks has been getting busier we have had to increase our security as is required by law for the numbers coming through the door. So we are charging a small fee for certain gigs but for regulars we are doing a “silver card†to show our loyalty to our regulars.
The Silver Card deal:
If you are recognised as a regular then you will be asked if you would like the afore mentioned card. All you have to do is fill in a quick form and there you have it. The card is not transferable so please don’t pass it on or it will be cancelled. The Card lets regulars in for free when you see the “silver card deal appliesâ€
It also gives you a first shout on possible bank holiday nights when we expect a good turnout. Also, for the touring bands who will be coming to the club, you get the first pop at tickets before they are available to the public. So, for free, it is a good deal, all you have to be is a regular that is recognised by the management or door staff. The cards won’t be dished out like candy and are for the loyal patronage only.
To see the deals, just click on a band on the gig list and you can see if it applies. Some other bands may be added to the deal and the management reserves the right to change and amend without notice.
With the venue only open for 3 days a week at the moment, we are hoping to get the touring bands on the other days that we are closed. With Bradford needing an outlet for rock music then as most know it has happened. We never thought the Gasworks would make such an impact on other longer established rock clubs.
