About Me

greetings, we are the bluetones and welcome to our space or even our 'my space' which is of course your space, so welcome to 'your our my space'. weve been the bluetones for over 10 years, it all started one afternoon when the other band members and i got together and formed a band called 'the bluetones'. we called our band 'the bluetones' because we all like the colour blue and the word 'tones', particularly when said in that specific order. we had also noted that other bands with colours in thier names were often quite good, mick hucknall for instance had amassed a personal fortune of over £25 million with his 'red' motif and although 'squeeze' isn't actually a colour, orange is, and you can squeeze an orange, plus they did have a few good songs. we are all londoners (mark, scott and adam) but not quite cockneys except our drummer eds (real name: ed) who's a northerner but not quite a geordie and some say not quite a drummer. armed with a headfull of dreams (get money and girls) and a clutch of lethal pop songs, we set about changing the world .......... forever. ....and the world listened, buying our records by the billion and probably wishing they were us. what we lacked in dress sense we more than made up for with our clothes and we quickly became style-icons as well as international rock-gods of epoch shattering dimentions. 10 years, 5 albums, 13 divorces, 127 keyboard players, 8 spells in rehab (average per head), 31 grammys and 9 houses each later our extraordinary career reached it's giddy climax in the summer of 2005 when we were almost asked to headline 'live 8'. this is the story of the bluetones so far.to be continued .....
BLUE MOVIES available here
Apologies to all fellow bands but we will delete any comments that look like an advert for your band or a band you think we should listen to. We decided if people wanted to know about other bands, they wouldnt be on our page looking for them. We accept all requests for "friends" and youre welcome to send messages or bulletins about other bands.
Top "friends" are selected in fairness, if you post on the official site, your name will appear here, the more you post, the higher you get... if you want to join in with the laughing, the bitching, the high jinx and make some friends, have a look here , they're not such a bad bunch if you're not too easily offended - and if you are, give them a good telling off, they love it!
