Originally from Birmingham, England, 76 grew up with a hunger to be involved in the production of music from an early age. '7' found himself visiting jumble sales and fares and walking away with a handful of cheap 7 inches to play on his stereo., "I blame my mum for all of this, for some reason she always made sure I had a record player." Years went by and the record collection grew. It wasn't until the age of 16 that 76 got involved in his first group 'Konflict' a trio that consisted of fellow m.c's Tonka and Q.T., things proved to be hard for 'Konflict' as producers and studio's were few a far between, for a group with zero budget, this is when d.j,ing became an interest for 76, after linking with NeesnU, 76 started practicing his craft and putting together mix tapes which became very popular locally. 76 and NeesnU then went on to Dj for a local radio station. Their Friday night Hip Hop show 'The Live Mix Tape' soon became a favourite with the underground Hip Hop heads and their popularity began to grow. 76, NeesnU and later Bronskii and Tonka (The Element', as they were collectively known) went on to Dj at numerous parties, Hip Hop events and competitions, including, Busta Rhymes and Das Efx. Parallel to this was the formation of the second group 'V.B.S' which consisted of four m'c's, 76, NeesnU, Che Energies and Nicely. This is when '7' took his first curious look into production. Never really having enough time to create more than a small buzz V.B.S. parted after about a year to give everybody the chance to study their arts academically. After about five years on the radio, The Element decided to take a break from dj'ing commercially. "I always wanted to have something of my own to play, to throw everyone off every now and then, you know play a bigger part." This is when '76' began to focus fully on production. Never seeing the point in paying endless amounts of money to work on, "that idea", 76 instead chose to invest in the tools, and instead, spend endless amounts of time working on, that idea, and began to create a recording studio (This became Southacre Studio) also at this time Stronghorn Productions was born, this later grew to included a record label which took the form of Stronghorn Records. Recent contributions include featured productions for 'hip hop reveiw' for MTV Base, several production credits for two of three 'Black samurai' albums-'The struglle contiues' and 'War b4 peace', Haych-'part one of the trilogy' and most recently the 2006 release 'Stronghorn records presents THE HEaRD'.
