March 13, 1962 - In a document titled Operation Northwoods, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General LL Limnitzer, proposes to
send a drone (remote controlled aircraft)--made to look like a civilian plane--into Cuban airspace and then have it blown up. Thus allowing the
United States to justify a war with Cuba by claiming that the Cubans shot down a plane filled with civilians. President John F. Kennedy personally
removes General Limnitzer from the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
December 1, 1984 - NASA successfully flies and lands (as well as purposefully crashes) a remote controlled Boeing 720.
August 1997 - The World Trade Center is depicted in crosshairs on the cover of FEMA's Emergency Response to Terrorism manual.
February 28, 1998 - The Global Hawk (unmanned surveillance aircraft) completes its first flight at a cruising altitude of a commercial jetliner.
1999 - North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) began conducting exercises of planes being flown into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.
June 2000 - The Department of Justice releases a terrorism manual. The World Trade Center is depicted in crosshairs.
September 2000 - The neo-conservative group, The Project For a New American Century, announces in a report titled Rebuilding Americas Defenses:
Strategy, Forces and Resources for a New Century, ". . .the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely
to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event -- like a new Pear Harbor." Some members
of the organization are: Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Jeb Bush, Paul Wolfowitz.
October 24, 2000 - The Pentagon conducts two simulated exercises called MASCAL. It simulates a Boeing 757 crashing into the building.
Less than a year later, Charles Frank Burlingame III, a former Navy F-4 pilot who worked in the Pentagon
and participated in MASCAL, retires and takes a job at American Airlines. Burlingame's American Airlines plane is said to be the
one that crashed into the Pentagon. (Complete lack of evidence coupled with eyewitness testimony utterly refutes the absurd idea
that a 757 crashed into the Pentagon.)
April 2001 - NORAD plans an exercise in which a plane is flown into the Pentagon. The idea is rejected as "too unrealistic."
June 2001 - The Department of Defense changes the protocol for military intervention in case of a hijacking. The new guidelines state,
"The NMCC will, with exception of immediate responses as authorized by reference d. forward requests for DOD assistance to the Secretary of Defense for approval."
For the remainder of Attorney General John Ashcroft's term, he flies only on chattered jets due to a threat assessment by the FBI.
July 4, 2001 - Osama Bin Laden, wanted by the United States since 1998, receives medical attention at the American hospital in Dubai.
He is visited by a local chief of the CIA.
July 24, 2001 - Larry A. Silverstein, who already owned World Trade Center 7, signs a 3.2 Billion Dollar ninety-nine year lease on the entire
world trade center complex, six weeks before 9/11. Included in the lease is a 3.5 Billion Dollar insurance policy that specifically covers acts of
terrorism. (Silverstein also owns the Sears Tower in Chicago.)
September 6, 2001 - Four times the daily average of "put options" are placed on United Airlines, totaling 3,150. (A "put option" is a stock
market "bet" that the stock will fall in value. Those who "bet" wisely can make significant amounts of money on the "put options.")
Bomb sniffing dogs and security guards are pulled from the World Trade Center towers. Prior to that they had been working 12-hour shifts.

or other terrorist network. What the incredulous idiots at Snopes fail to understand is that Al-Qaeda was not behind the attacks. Snopes
shamelessly sources the 9/11 Commission, yet that source has proven to be a pack of lies by the obnoxiously long list of experts at Scholars for
9/11 Truth. Why doesn't Snopes list the idea that suicidal hijackers attacked the United States on 9/11 as a myth, since most of the
supposed hijackers are alive and well? How about the urban myth that a paper passport can survive a massive fiery explosion as long as it
belongs to an Arab terrorist? Maybe it's because a three week old dead corpse repeatedly bludgeoned about the cranium with a yardstick
could often do better research than Snopes.)
Newsweek reports a number of top-level Pentagon brass cancel their flight plans for the next morning. San Francisco mayor Willie Brown
receives a warning not to fly the following morning. The phone call is later traced to National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice by Pacifica
Radio (read the side-panel at the link).
In Pakistan, all of the urologists assisting Osama bin Laden are replaced by a special team of Pakistan military officials. He is then spirited
away to a Pakistan military hospital. (Pakistan enthusiastically backed the subsequent post-9/11 US-Afghanistan war.)
September 11, 2001 (early morning) - The National Reconnaissance Office in Virginia is preparing for an exercise in which a small corporate jet crashes into their building.
NORAD is also in the midst of a number of military exercises. The first exercise, called Vigilant Guardian is described as, ". . .an exercise
that would pose an imaginary crisis to North American Air Defense outposts nationwide," by Lt. Col. Dawne Deskins.
The second exercise was called Northern Vigilance and was described as having been, "planned months in advance, involves deploying fighter
jets to locations in Alaska and northern Canada," in Toronto Star. (The article has been cached by 911readingroom.org. since it no longer

Three F-16s from Washington DC's National Guard, Andrews Airforce Base (just 15 miles from the Pentagon), are flown 180 nautical miles
away for a training mission in North Carolina. Subsequently leaving a mere 14 fighter jets to protect the entire United States.
