Thin Disc

Esoteric noise and other altered states. (recordings from 1989-2007)

1. The Rotten Insides: Constant Reminder
The recordings that defined the distinctive noise of these sonic explorers.
(approx. 60 min.)

3. Mabuba!: Artificial Heart
A night of unassuming improvisation, with some unexpected timbres.
(approx. 73 min.)

4.The Rotten Insides: Songs for Jonny
An unforgettable night of noise, sweat, wicked mockery and mind-expansion with those rollicking rotten rogues.
(approx. 79 min.)

5. The Participant
(Original Soundtrack)
Two simultaneous alien invasions stir suspicions and test loyalties, as panic spreads. One man attempts to cope with all this and betrayal, too. Pervasively peppered with paranoia.
24-bit remastering (February, 2002). Apart from a 60 cycle notch filter, this is a flat transfer of the original 1/4" master tape.
(approx. 38 min.)

5A. The Participant
(Original Soundtrack)
Completed February, 2002, this new version includes digital remixes and processed transfers. The track sequence is identical to that of the original version.
(approx. 38 min.)

6. Mabuba!: The Big Wash-Out
Deceptively simple tunes, cool arrangements and smooth production make this one a winner. Or a contender, at least.
(approx. 54 min.)

9. The Rotten Insides: Pepperberry
Birth of a hybrid species. Includes "The Sublime Noise of The Soul".
(approx. 40 min.)

10. Untitled
A religious cosmology. "And when we dissolve, the Mother guides us...for there is no other beyond the Mother."
(approx. 52 min.)

11. The Splinterheads Present: Long Lost Folk Music and Tales of the Forgotten Tribes of New Yorbia
Meet the survivors of this fascinating culture.
(approx. 79 min.)

12. The Splinterheads on Holiday (Music from Big Stink)
Three days of...who knows what? Well, they try, anyway.
(approx. 36 min.)

13. The Rotten Insides: Theatre
From the sublime to the ridiculous, the macabre mask of the Rotters casts its ubiquitous shadow on this thespian style barrage.
(approx. 73 min.)

14. Excretions Vol. 8: A Message from an Age of Anxiety
Hauntingly eerie themes, delusional ranting, and high-spirited shenanigans characterize this epic session.
(over 200 min.)

15. Excretions Vol. 10
Another all-night freak-out, in Hoboken, of all places. Features the Mabubathon All-Fools Band.
(over 200 min.)

(approx. 52 min.)

19. The Participant Lives!
The third part in the two-part Participant trilogy.
(approx. 54 min.)

20. One Arm Knot
An album of computer-generated works, prepared expressly for compact disc.
(approx. 51 min.)

21. The Rotten Insides: Sublime Noise
Includes some of the more dissonant selections from Pepperberry, Theatre, and Songs for Jonny.
(approx. 60 min.)

22. The Best of The Splinterheads
