About Me

Review from Norwegian newspaper "Nordlys": Wild and beautiful from Vidar Vang!Sometimes it happens; a concert is so fantastic that it grabs your whole attention. It seduces you to such an extent that you forget there is a world outside the room youre in. All you are capable of wishing for is that it never ends, that the adventure will just last and last. But also that you, when the inevitable end comes, are left with a feeling that youve witnessed greatness. This is what happened Sunday night.A guitar, a harmonica and his voice was all Vidar Vang needed to create magic. The concert consisted mainly of new material, but highlights from his two official releases, Rodeo and Stand Up Straight were also included. The newly written Stand up opened the show in a magnificent way, and it just kept getting better and better. Particularly the suggestive Lets pretend this coffee is champagne and the catchy This time is worth mentioning. With his new songs Vidar Vang confirms that not only is he a melody maker of high class, but he also writes fantastic lyrics. He included some cover songs from artists like Johnny Thunders, Elvis and Hank Williams, but his own songs exceeded them all. Twice an ecstatic audience managed to applaud him back on stage, and when he finally left there was an indescribable atmosphere in the room.Like the audience hardly could believe what they had seen and heard. That everyone held their breath, afraid that the feeling would go away.
