About Me

Myspace Layouts - Myspace Editor

My Little Pony is a pretty new band on the friendly Oslo pop scene. Sometimes they play pop, sometimes it's americana, sometimes it's bluegrass, and once in a while even reggae, but it is always within the generous framework of the genre known as indiepop.
Allthough having existed for only a brief year, My Little Pony has allready made an impact. Both in Oslo where they play extensively as part of the increseatingly well known Oslo pop underground, but they've also toured other parts of norway, and are scheduled to make their first appearance outside of their own, odd little country shortly.
Their first EP, "Songs in A major", was released in October 2007 and is available from a lot of record stores. The maxi-single "MacGyver Blues" has only been released as a CD-R, and in a limited edition. Recently the compilation "Around the world with My Little Pony, vol.1" was also released by Spoon Train Audio. It contains one new track from My Little Pony and nine tracks by My Little Pony's Myspace friends, including bands like Red Pony Clock, Cola Jet Set and Snippet. All titles, the EP, the single and the compilation are available from [email protected]

Sounds Like: John Lennon and Paul McCartney are having a petty fight, but fortunate enough: Morrissey intervenes and calms them down. He takes them both with him to good old Neil Youngs country bar where they have a good man to man talk about their problems and even cry a little. Afterwards all four of them head back to Brian Wilson's place where they take some LSD (for purely therapeutical reasons of course) and hallucinate about norwegian singer Lars Lillo Stenberg making a pass on Emmylou Harris.
