About Me

Get your Myspace Layouts at MyspaceLayoutsLab.comI am a True Crime Author of a story in which I was the victim of being stalked by a stranger, aggravated sexual assault with a deadly weapon, and kidnapping. I managed to not only live through the horrible attack, but was able to actually catch the criminal when he walked into my place of employment one month later. During the assault, I had left valuable evidence in his vehicle to link me to having been there...not knowing if I might end up being killed by the perpetrator. That evidence was still there the night he was apprehended. When the culprit decided he was not happy with the sentence he received in a Plea Bargain, he demanded a jury trial. I was forced to prove that his allegations of us having been on a 'date' were false, or he would be released. It would be necessary to outsmart him and his ruthless attorney and I managed to come up with a brilliant plan. The D.A. put that plan into action, and the jury decided that the suspect was lying, giving him a much longer sentence than he had originally accepted in the Plea Agreement. --------------------The perpetrator has spent the last 22 years behind bars...exactly where he needs to be. I was successful in having his parole revoked twice, but he is scheduled to receive a MANDATORY RELEASE on January 12, 2008. He will be under SIPS until January 12, 2035. He undoubtedly will be released in Houston, Texas, as that is where his family resided at the time of the attack.
MyHotComments **********************My attempt at CIVIL COMMITTMENT (SINCE HE IS/WAS A SUSPECT IN AT LEAST 30 OTHER UNSOLVED RAPES) for him have been refused...there being insufficient evidence...he WILL be released. ------------------------------- More recently, I have become involved with various crime victims groups, went on to become a Private Investigator, work with the local Law Enforcement agencies, and do speaking engagements about the contents of my book. -------------------------------- The screenplay is in the process of being revised, and I am working to get it made into a feature film...something I did might prove to be helpful for someone else caught in the same situation - to save their life or to make sure that the proper justice is served to the criminal involved. ------------------------------- I like to spend my quiet time either reading a good book or playing Texas Hold-em on the computer. I'm getting pretty good at it, and can bluff the best of them.Be careful out there, ------------------------------- L.A. My Interests

Love horses, being near any form of water, and just lounging in the sun. A day of fun is taking little Mikey down the street to feed his horse buddies some carrots, then to the park and letting him run wild. I am active in working with crime victims and community projects that help police officers.

I'd like to meet:

John Walsh, Tom Jones, Ann Rule, & Dog The Bounty Hunter, not only for myself, but he is my grandson's favorite person. You can check out Lil Mikey wearing his Dog shirt and all geared up with his badge and radio in my pics...he's a character! I would really like to meet anyone who is trying to make a difference in the world, who take the time to do things to help others, and who have a positive outlook on life.Check out where you can buy my book by clicking on the link below. Music:

I like just about anything that sounds good, but my 'main man' has and always will be Tom Jones. Also love Elvis, Patsy Cline, Journey, Survivor, Boston, AC/DC, Kid Rock, INXS, Bon Jovi, Janis Joplin, Hendrix, and Three Dog Night. I grew up on mostly country music, then came the Beatles & Stones, so I'm really big into the older tunes...but Rock and Roll is here to stay. **************************** ors.com/index.html"

Movies:

I'm not really a movie-going person, since the price charged to see them is outrageous. The last movie that I paid to see was Passion Of The Christ...and I would pay to see it again. When movies finally come out on video or are on TV, then I get to see them. Just to name a few of my all time favorites: Grease, Saturday Night Fever, Dirty Dancing (since I used to dance just like that in my younger years and teach it), Ghost, Lethal Weapon (really any movie with Mel Gibson in it), Indiana Jones films, The Game, Gone With The Wind, All About Eve, Thelma & Louise, Ace Ventura - Pet Detective, Terminator, ET, Star Wars, Silence of the Lambs, Psycho, Erin Brockavich, Small Sacrifices, and much more............................................. Television:

Topping the list would be America's Most Wanted, followed closely by Dog The Bounty Hunter, all of the CSI shows, 24, Law & Order, Walker: Texas Ranger, 48 Hours, Dateline, 20/20, The Sopranos, Rachel Ray's cooking shows, Emeril (I love to cook & try new recipes) and even the old shows of Columbo, Magnum PI & Perry Mason.

Heroes:

John Walsh is tied for the biggest hero award among crime fighters with Dog The Bounty Hunter, but...every single man and woman wearing a badge is a hero.
