About Me
Hailing from London, UK... but now living on the Gold Coast of Australia, Stu has always listened to breakbeat driven music. From Oldskool Hardcore to Jungle, to Drum'n'Bass he's played it all, but in 2003 (Thanks mainly to an inspirational conversation with MC Nino of Production House/Baby D fame) he decided to not only DJ, but write and produce electronic music just like the Oldskool Hardcore he lived and breathed for years.
Fast Forward to 2004... a few like minded people began writing tracks with a modern day twist, and many of the labels that are about today within Hardcore Breaks were born. Enormous Mouse was one such label.
Stu & Nee's decision to take things more seriously grew with every release on the label, and this is why you can hear a development in both musical & technical ability over the releases on Enormous Mouse right from the much sought after 1st release - EM001.
Over the next few years, Stu (usually with production partner DJ Nee) would appear on many of the other labels in Hardcore Breaks. Labels such as Hardcore Projektz (and subsidiary label Hardcore Projektz Remixes), Knite Force Again, Repeat Offender, Good Gosh!, Anarchic Streak, 9T2, Sonic Fortress, Hardcore Lives, B2VOS HCB Albums, Rogue Squadron, Bat Beat, Mert Wax, Gurnin Beatz & Pitch Control have all featured material by Stu on his own (sometimes as alias Lethal Formula), or with DJ Nee as the now well recognised "Stu & Nee".
The culmination of all of their hard work was brought to a head when Billy Daniel Bunter & Slipmatt asked them to be involved on a Ministry Of Sound album which was pushing their sound known as Rave Breaks. "You Got The Power" with Karen Danzig was the track on there which has gone on to have much success in the form of various remixes over several genre's of dance music.
2008: Having moved across the world in search of a better lifestyle, Stu, now living in Australia, has just bought some studio gear, and can now start writing some new music. Armed with a billion ideas from his exile from the studio over the last 9 months, its time to unleash some new beats on the Hardcore Breaks fraternity...
