If it's bangin' & breakin', it's boomin' & broken

About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V3.6 !
The BeatSlinger Vibe
BeatSlinger is the pseudonym of DJ Kid Hype (Jeremy Horn) and Producer/Remixer Deraj Ressal (Jared Lasser). Starting in 2002, the guys came together with a mutual love of beats. What does that mean exactly? It means that both musicians had the same musical philosophy; that music is universal and has no boundaries. It brings people together and doesn't need lyrics to be felt and understood. For the beat bustin' pair creating music is a way for the listener to hold onto a moment just a little longer. It has the ability transport you back in time to a certain place that is special or propel you into the future.
Vision
A lot of dance music artists are obviously interested in getting people to dance. But BeatSlinger has more on their minds than hip shakin' and salsa steps. They are interested in capturing moments through music. BeatSlinger wants their sound to be the background to great memories, to make people hear their music and always associate good times with it.

My Interests

Sounds Like: While BeatSlinger pulls from many different influences across many different genres we feel that we have our own sound. Therefore to put that we sound like anything else goes against our musical ethics. Within one track we've mixed reggae and jazz, or classical strings with hip-hop beat structure. Were not huge on labeling things, we consider ourselves "broken beat" artists, tempo is not a constraint for us, as Barry Gordy once said..."It's what's in the grooves that count." With tracks ranging in BPMs from 38 to 165 we have something for everyone, everywhere. Call it what you want. Just let it move your body and mind.
