About Me

Always dreaming about making music and making a life out in LA, Greg decided that Nashville would make for a better decision given its rich songwriting community. So he packed up and moved from his native Maryland to Nashville in September of 2001. He got his first song cut by the LoCash Cowboys. Their CD was released in 2005. Most recently, Beth Cayhall has recorded Shouldn't Take Dyin' on her self titled CD released in April of 2007. This project was produced by Chris Estes. Greg is currently writing with artists Will Champlin, Danick Dupelle of Emerson Drive, The Drew Davis Band, Keith Howland (Chicago), Angie Broberg, Kassie Miller, Deanna Johnston & Kelly Brooks. A few of his co-writers include Steffon Hamulak, Dave Berg (Stupid Boy, Moments, If Your Going Through Hell), Arnie Roman (Celine Dion, Trisha Yearwood), Steve Leslie(Darryl Worley, George Strait), Lisa Carver, Joey Sykes, Boh Cooper, Dillon Dixon, Michael Logan, Buddy Owens. You can also check out Greg Friia over at Edgehill Studios Cafe where he hosts a writers round twice per month and every so often out at The Listening Room Cafe' in Franklin.
