For Casey Thompson, the answer is simple - her love of country music and the fact that she‘s followed her heart all the way here. With a background rich in the arts, Casey has performed in productions all around the world in places like; Branson, Missouri, New York, Pennsylvania, Los Angeles and even on several world cruises. However, her success as a theater performer never steered her away from her long-term dream of making a move to Nashville to become a successful country artist. At the tender age of nine, it was apparent to Casey's parents that she was destined for a lifetime of performing when she belted Patsy Cline’s, “Crazy†on stage as a contestant in the Jimmy Dean Talent Search. Immediately enrolling her in after school activities such as voice, piano, ballet, jazz and drama class, her parents watched as Casey’s performances in local theater productions and school programs showed her talents to be far above those of her peers.Throughout her high school years, Casey performed in high school productions, as well as produced and directed two of her own productions. After school hours, she found herself on stage opening for over fifty different acts such as Joey Dee and the Starlighters, Highway 101, The Vogues, The Diamonds, The Shangri-Las, Lacy J. Dalton and many others.Casey soon discovered her talents as an entertainer were much in demand. The day after her high school graduation, she moved to Branson, Missouri to perform as a lead singer at the Osmond Family Theater. She spent two years as an entertainer in several theaters in Branson and then decided to hit the high seas as a lead singer for Holland America Cruise Lines. During her stint on Holland America, Casey entered into a reality contest on the NBC “Today†show entitled, “Today’s Next Superstarâ€. After a nationwide search, Casey was hand picked by NBC producers and Warner Brothers Music as one of only seven contestants to compete for the title of America’s next singing sensation. For eight weeks, Casey would perform live on the “Today†show while America would call and vote. Ultimately placing third, Casey gained a well deserved amount of publicity as well as the honor of working one on one with chosen music director, Jim Brickman. From this national exposure, Casey was then offered the lead role in the national tour of “Fameâ€, and was discovered by Los Angeles management company, G2k. After deciding to move to Los Angeles, Casey collaborated with Grammy award winning producer, Guy Roche, who produced her first three-song demo. Although Casey loved the sunny skies of LA, an opportunity arose that she just couldn’t pass up. Casey decided to move Lancaster, Pennsylvania to headline at The American Music Theater for the summer season. Although Casey has the American Music Theatre to thank for allowing her to perfect her stage presence and vocal abilities, she found that her desire to move to Nashville was stronger than ever.
Casey made the move to Nashville this past March and she is already keeping herself busy meeting with producers, collaborating with songwriters and performing live around town. She has been described as – “a new, fresh talent with an amazing new voice†and “hard-working and willing to do what it takes for successâ€. Casey maintains a fan club and personally answers all emails and letters from her fans. In addition, she built and maintains her own website and owns a freelance video production company. With her amazing talent and drive, support from her family and friends and stunning good looks, Casey Thompson is certain to soon accomplish her dream of landing a recording contract.Casey’s unique background and entertainment history is much different from the well-traveled path of most aspiring country artists. Her well-rounded, personal history shines through in Casey’s ability to express these experiences and feelings through song and voice.
