“Willie Nelson’s ‘Red Headed Stranger’ album was my best friend," recalls Texas singer/songwriter George Ducas. Throughout his career, Ducas has been influenced by a wide range of musical genres, from Willie Nelson and Buck Owens to the Rolling Stones and John Lee Hooker. He began writing and performing songs at the age of 12 and has now become one of Nashville most treasured singer/songwriters.
Ducas has enjoyed consistent success both as a country music artist and as a songwriter. He released two records on the Capitol Records label, and his self-titled debut in 1995 received high critical acclaim. After charting a Top 20 hit with the first single, "Teardrops", Ducas arrived as both a national and international country artist with the Top 5 hit, "Lipstick Promises". Ducas has toured extensively, headlining and opening shows for many country artists including Alan Jackson, Toby Keith, Diamond Rio, and Faith Hill.
As a songwriter, George has penned hits for the likes of the Dixie Chicks, Garth Brooks, George Jones, Sara Evans, Tricia Yearwood, Gary Allan, Radney Foster and the Randy Rogers Band among others. His most recent hit, “A Real Fine Place to Start” by Sara Evans, was a Number One hit for two straight weeks on the charts.
Re-energized with his recent songwriting successes and new music of his own, George looks forward to the release of a new record in the Spring of 2007. “This record was about getting back to the basics – rediscovery – me rediscovering my own sound and, hopefully, everyone having the chance to either rediscover my music or hear it for the very first time,” Ducas explains. Ducas is unveiling a fresh batch of hook-filled songs, all produced by Ducas himself. As a result, Ducas says, “the tracks, regardless of each song’s story, are all about my love for music. I really can’t wait for you to hear it!”

Kisses Don't Lie

Y'all check this video out -

Kisses Don't Lie:

“Kisses Don’t Lie” was a song I was really proud of, even though it only barely “eeked” into the Top 40 at country radio…! The video was shot in White Sands, New Mexico – a vast desert area that used to be used for military testing…It was surreal, the shoot was beautiful in spite of the heat of the desert – there was nothing but desert sand for as far as the eye could see! My favorite part of the video is the “stage” scene that was set up, in the middle of this nowhere land, where I sang the song to a party of one (the actress in the video)…

I like the video particularly because it was so different from any of the others I had shot to that point, and I think (hope!) it reflected some growth in my music and image to that point in time…Hope ya’ like it!!!

See ya' soon,

-George-
