About Me

David Frasier / Asierfra Music / BMI
............................................................ ............................................................ ...........
David Frasier was born and raised in N. Louisiana. One of his favorite childhood places was Dorcheat Bayou. He spent a lot of time on that Bayou, fishing, camping, drinking, aggravating alligators and running from cottonmouths.
He worked his summers for his Dad in the concrete business. One year out of high school David married his high school sweetheart "Shirlene" and in the following year ,they had their first of three children"Brian".That same year David also wrote his first song, one month before he lost his Dad to cancer.
David spent the next few years working as a power plant operator and also did some truck driving before going to work in the oil fields at the age of 25.
Over the next eight years,he continued to work in the oil field and spend countless hours in his bedroom writing gospel and country lyrics .But he did take enough time off to have two more children"C.J. and Valen"
He made his first trip to Nashville in 1983,with the five songs he had managed to demo.
He met a songwriter named Bobby Borchers who listened to his music and took him into Tree Publishing and introduced him to Chuck Howard.Chuck liked his songs and encouraged him to keep writing and to even make the move to Nashville, which he did in May of 1986 after quitting the oil field job and promising his wife that he would give up and come home by the time school started in september, if he could not find a good enough paying job ,that would afford him to move his family to Nashville.
After a few weeks of temp jobs and sleeping where he could,he landed a truck driving job with Carlo Sound, that put him out on the road with Ricky Skaggs. From truck driving he went into bus driving and over the next few years he drove for the very artist that he had dreamed of meeting while working in the oil fields, such as Dottie West,Don Williams,Mark Grey, and while driving for Dan Seals,He wrote a new batch of songs with Dans band members.
Friend and co-worker ,John Condon,(as a favor) played those songs to Ron Stuve and Karen Conrad which led to David's first publishing deal at AMR in 1991.
From '91 thru '98 , David continued to write songs and drive busses, raising a family and paying bills. He spent two years on the Reba tour, then in 1999 , after working the last five years driving for the Garth Brooks tour. He finally was able to write songs full time and hang up the bus driving(knock on wood)
Meanwhile his songs were being recorded by such artist as Chris Ledoux,Ty Herndon,John Schnieder,,,and Tim McGraw.
David signed his first full time writers deal with BMG publishing in 1999.He had his first big hit with the song "THE WOMAN WITH YOU", recorded by Kenny Chesney and cowritten with Craig Wiseman. He has had numerous other songs that have been recorded by:Clay Walker,Blaine Larsen,Trent Wilmon,Terri Clark, and Julianne Hough to name a few...
David signed with Universal Music Publishing in 2008 .
He still loves... " going into town and trying to make up something."

Brian from TN "your songs speak to me... sometimes loudly.. ...actually it was like screaming, and then your songs pushed me and punched me in the nose at a bar... but, great songs do get a little ...
