OKR

OKR (Raj K. Ojha) combines live drums, keyboards, found sounds, horns, guitars, and other elements to form, dissect and educate himself about music in his bedroom. Inspired by music ranging from Autechre to CAN to Black Sabbath to Mort Garson to Magma; OKR attempts to create a instrumental, electronic and rock amalgam reminiscent of progressive rock and fusion of the seventies coupled with contemporary elements of electronic music. He is currently putting a a live band together to play some renditions of these songs live (with less electronics than on the recorded versions). OKR has done remixes for The Roots Of Orchis, Deerhoof and Run_Return. He also plays drums and writes beats for Rapatron and is a former member of the group Run_Return . You can purchase the run_return album, Metro North at the iTunes Music Store . He has also been playing and collaborating with Carta . He also feels weird writing about himself in the third person.
