About Me

Flat broke, I let my last cigarette smoke itself in the ashtray, a moment of repulsive cinematic cool. A gorgeous Buddha offered to heal me and I told him to go fuck himself. I picked up that sickly serpent guitar and tried to make it save me, and it did, but by then I didn't want it any more. There's something loose again in the lip of language, som'n like a tough guy, TOUGH GUY whe(a)rein B CHORDS and a slithery jacket. Zzzonly zo many times zou can zuse zat. And I feel a little lonely here with the curse of the music and sores, sores on my open face, seen roses grow in open sores in open clouds, the curse of the music.

My Interests

brethren bathing bloodily in the blithely bequeethed baptism of all our hearts, hearts hung heavily on higher ground, as high as heaven's hilltops, half as high as hunters' wives' half hunger for their half husbands

I'd like to meet:

Templars, circus freaks, The Perfect Businessman, Thomas W. Crapper, my Real Mother, the personification of weather, soldiers of love, actors who are interested in the un-flashy side of acting, Semele, Amelia Earhart, RFK lookalikes and also that guy who sold me my last car, cause it don't run as good as he said it would...

Music:

Hints include This Heat, Tortoise, Calexico, Aesop Rock, Talking Heads, Fela Kuti, Brian Eno, John Cage, Amelia Earhart, Prefuse 73, Faust, US Attorney John Ashcroft (c'mon, let the EAGLE SORE!!!)

Movies:

Underground, Persona, Sans Soleil, Fellini's stuff, Dr. Strangelove, George Melies's Flight to the Moon, Hal Hartley, Heavenly Creatures still my favorite of Peter Jackson's, David Lynch, also pretty bad movies (Zoolander, Super Troopers) but only with my friend Dan while eating greasy food at Fruitvale.

Television:

never touch the stuff... but I do got a weakness for Aqua Teen Hunger Force.

Books:

right now I like Donald Barthelme, Thomas Pynchon, Edward Said, Georges Bataille, Martin Heidegger, Julio Cortazar, Junichuro Tanizaki, Fyodor Dostoyevsky, and Comte Lautreamont. And always and forever a Joycean.

Kierkegaard, Leonard Maltin (c'mon he's a GREAT man!), Donna Haraway, Amelia Earhart, Jacques Derrida, Michael Shaw, Dave Sloves, Erika Hauskens, Dan Wooldridge. Also the guy who works at the liquor store and the narrator of that PBS series on China.
