About Me

I've got PCT (Pop Culture Tourette's). Mirrors on the outside, mirrors on the inside. NY style, southern charm, west coast open mind. I'm a quadruple Aquarius -- so I've gotcher wisdom right here, buddy, if you'll just help me get this big jar open.

Turn on my Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/fanny_k/

This is my band performing with Gamelan X at Burning Man 2006. Turn your sound on, por favor.

My Interests

Making days. Digging my heels into random towns. Clearing away static. Kitchen Sink Magazine (http://www.kitchensinkmag.com/). Loyd Life (http://www.theloydfamilyplayers.com). Bean. Making up words (why you gotta be eatin' all those shiitalkin' mushrooms, fool?), dancing like nobody/everybody's looking, using pencils, getting it all down on the page or out the mouth, Burning Man, casual cruise directing, shadow puppet shows, tea, Jameson's, Frenet, cold unfiltered sake, a nice pale ale or chocolate stout, astrology, double soy lattes, and smackin' the samba surdo till I just can't smack it no mo'.

I'd like to meet:

Someone to illustrate the comics series I'm writing (must love Los Bros Hernandez, Buffy, and Sandman, respect women, dig music, have lived in a small city, and know what humid air looks like). People who can roll with just about anything. The driver of the spaceship. Aline Kaminsky-Crumb. Ileanna Douglas. David Berman. Dan Bejar (again, under better circumstances). Neko Case (after she's had a couple drinks). Nightclub Dwight, Hallelujah, Charlemagne, and the Eyepatch Guy. Levon Helm. Hedwig and Yitzchak. Ex-lovers who want to be friends. Wingmen, wingwomen, wingpeeps in general. Hippie-hipster-intellectual-sensualists. Anyone who can keep up with me.

PLEASE NOTE: If you look at my musical, cinematic, and literary favorites listed here, and have no idea what I'm talking about on any or most accounts, please don't message me. I'm probably not going to hit you back unless you make a really good case for yourself. Sorry, but "Hi. You look hott" and "I want your picture on my page" don't really butter my biscuit. I'm not even that hottt. I just post my hottttest photos, like all y'all do. ALSO, IF YOU CAN'T SPELL FOR THE LIFE OF YOU, DON'T MESSAGE ME. Unless I know you; then it's OK. But if my introduction to your existence as a human is grossly illiterate, I'm gonna delete you, fast as I can click.

Also... I hardly ever add bands/artists that ask me to. Sorry, I just get too effing many.
