Move Ya! & Steve Lavers

London based kick ass Breaks/dance label.

About Me

( DJ MAG ) -Martin & Steve Lavers met a few years back, they clicked immediately and set about starting Audio Bug Records. A steady trickle of wickedly inventive breaks tunes is the result of their hook-up. The goofiness of Monkey Scratch, the alien skullduggery of Contact, the stoner mania of Dope Freak, their productions have just been getting better and stronger. --------------Their remixes have also been totally on the money. Their faithful version of Medcabs Dance, the ESG update went down a treat, and their takes on Deep Dish-Sacramento, Shut Up & Dances Reclaim The Streets, DK8-Murder Was The bass and Taishans Black Mamba Funk have added substance to many DJs boxes. ------------------------------------------------------------ -----------------------( PROFILE ): Audio Bug`s 1st single `Dopefreak` was featured on The Plump DJs Fabric mix and the b side `Could Be Tha Sound` and 2nd single `Monkey Scratch` are also featured on various cd`s, All 3 trax were heavily rotated by various Dj`s and are still played.----------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ ----------------------------- 3rd release Area 555 `Contact` was the soundtrack to a Sci-Fi program on Sky TV. 4th single `Rock Me`(With Your Lower Frequency) has been one of Audio Bug`s biggest single`s so far: (DJ Mag-No 36 Breaks tune of the year).., It features infectious female Hip Hop vocals similar to Roxane Shante with phat breaks, live funky basslines as well as techy Drum & Bass style bass lines.------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------- 5th single `The Ride` by MYSL was voted ..28 best tune of 2005 in DJ Mags 100 Top Tunes and was made tune of the month in 3 Magazines (5/5) it also reached ..17 in Coolcuts. 6th single was `The Crack ` and `This Way `(V.I.P) from Spanish Breaks talent Nitro, both trax are currently picking up lots of plays / attention from DJs such as.. ----- Friendly- `Brilliant, best trax I ve heard in ages`----- Zabeila- `Love both trax here, wicked stuff`` ----- Plump DJs -``Fantastic!` 9/10 ----- Tayo -`This Label is on fire` ----- Tom Real- `Killer!` ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------- Next up on Audio bug was Quest & Odissi-Whatever / Live fast which received plays from a broad spectrum of Breaks djs as it was so out of the ordinary, Djs such as Annie Nightingale, James Zabeila, Lee Coombs, Friendly, General Midi-------------------------------------------------------- --------------------- Support for the label has come from the likes of Annie Mac, Stanton Warriors, Lee Burridge, Mike Monday, Future Funk Squad, Tom Stephan, Beginnerz, Gordan Kaye, Soto, Capoeira Twins, Al Mackenzie, Friendly, Plump DJs, Ollywood, Norman Cook, Loose Cannons, Fergie, Pendulum, James Zabiela, Annie Nightingale, Drumattic Twins, Meat Katie, Elite Force, Rennie Pilgrem, General Midi, Loose Cannons, Ursula 1000, Pilivan & Zimbardo, Sasha, Jay Cunning, Atomic Hooligan.--------------------------------------------------- -------------- THANKS FOR EVERYBODY`s SUPPORT!!!!------------------------------------------
