Steve Lavers

Steve Lavers is an acclaimed writer/producer with a solid reputation spanning 10 years. His projects/styles reach across most forms of modern music from Hip Hop and Rock to Breakbeat, House..Dance to Alternative.
As a producer/engineer he has worked with artists such as Mick Jagger and Spiritual South, and more recently writing and producing UK rapper Innocents debut album, various up & coming American artists such as Malo & Aharon, plus ex M-People percussionist Shovell (who also worked with Massive Attack, The Chemical Brothers, Sting and Jamiroquai).
Shovell recently joined Steve and rapper Jay Aldridge in their Hip Hop/Rock band British Intelligence, who, with some remixes and cuts under their belt, have recorded 2 tracks for Arsenal football club in conjunction with O2 and released on Sanctuary Records. British Intelligence have a forthcoming release on the Official FIFA World Cup 2006 album with their football anthem All About The Football, featuring alongside Fatman Scoop, Lumidee, Bob Sinclar & The Marley Brothers. Steves musical origins are as a guitarist playing Funk/Jazz and Rock years ago, and he has picked up the guitar again to turn British Intelligence into a 7-piece band who are in rehearsals now for their live show!!!!..coming soon.
Ongoingly, Steve produces and writes with respected House acts Trisco & Wonderland Avenue, receiving widespread acclaim including Pete Tongs Essential New Tune for Ride The White Horse, and with releases spanning labels such as Vinyl Addiction, Hope Recordings, Positiva & Data Records. He also co-owns London Breakbeat label Audio Bug Records, releasing under the name of Area-555, and Move Ya! and Steve Lavers, and remixing acts including Deep Dish, DK8, and Shut Up and Dance. The label is successful in its own right with other releases from Nitro and Quest & Odissi, and gets serious support from the likes of Annie Nightingale, Annie Mac, The Plump DJs and Fatboy Slim.
