About Me

Drumattic Twins Top 5 Finger Lickin' Releases click the links below to go straight to the Finger Lickin Shop 1) Plump DJs - Scram 2) Soul Of Man - Scatterbox (Mowgli Remix) 3) Plump DJs - Bullet Train 4) Drumattic Twins - Mind The Gap 5) Slyde - Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (Twocker Remix)The Drumattic Twinsare connected through the Internet, the brain and musical chord. Nick Slater and Lanx's (aka Kevin Lancaster) stage name was the consequence of having amplified attacks of drum-machine seizures in their loft.Even the strongest prescriptions could not calm the frenzy of 12 years of multi-faceted producing and DJing that would ensue before they landed at Finger Lickin'.Hi everyone,DJ Annie Mac played out our mini mix on her Radio 1 show on Friday night. You can listen to it in the player below. If you can't see the player you need to install Flash .

We're always interested in hearing from anyone into breakbeat influenced music, vocalist, producers, venture capitalists, pole dancers ;-)Big THANXBig THANX

Influences: Big big RESPECT to the following influences on our musical DNA.. local DJ vinyl junkie Steve Walsh, he was about 10 years older than us when we met him at 14 years of age (do u wanna come see my puppies "ha ha") but he introduced us to the most amazing amount of music u could ever dream of, we'd go down to all the record and tape exchanges in london every other weekend (b4 the rare groove gold rush hit) and come back with about 500 12" and LPs each, all kinds of shit from Roy Ayers to Led Zepplin and George Clinton to Blondie. At the time we'd just be hooked on doing ecletic mix tapes but years later when we formed Shades of Rhythm those records would be sampled to death and every now and again we'd come up with a classic Sweet Sensation/Sound of Eden/Extacy and then as the DT's Feelin Kinda Strange/Mind the Gap..... cheers Steve!!!!other DJs that we grew up with and listened to were John Peel:::::what a man!, Rob Jones, Lol & Dave. Stu Allen (Manchester) Mike Allen (London) Pete Tong) Pete Tong (alldayers) Tim Westwood (when Kiss FM was a pirate) Lenny Henry (yeah thats right he used to drop a half hour of the dopest electro phunk on a sunday afternoon) Paul Oakenfold, Froggy, Sasha, Fabio, Groove Rider Bands: Mantronix, Nivana, Kraftwerk, Lonnie Liston Smith, Afrika Bambaataa & the Soul Sonic Force, Melle Mell "oh" and Grandmanster Flash, Red hot Chilli peppers, The Beatles, Led Zepplin, Black Sabbeth, The James Gang, Fab Five Freddy, Blondie, the Jonzon Crew, G Force, The Gap Band, Roy Ayers, James Brown, Maceo and the Macs, Jimmy Castor and the bad bunch, Kurtis Blow, Masterdon Commitee, Sugarhill Gang, Treacherous Three, Whodini, G.L.O.B.E & Whizz kid (remember gettin my t-shirt signed "lol" dont know which is more embarrasing that or gettin my top off in public "i was only 16") LL Cool J, Run DMC, Beastie boys, Hashim, Herbie Hancock, Doug E Fresh, Massive Attack, The Prodigy, The Incredible Bongo band, Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gay, Sly and the family Stone, The Rolling Stones, Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins, Slave, Loletta Holaway, Rufus and Chaka Khan, Mary Clayton, The Beat, Maddness, the Specials, Selecta, PJ Harvey, Mansun, Oasis, Placebo, Public Enemy, the Doors, Micheal Jackson, Chic, Raw Silk, the Salsoul Orchestra
