Nick Slater and Lanx's (aka Kevin Lancaster) stage name was the consequence of having amplified attacks of drum-machine seizures in their loft.Even the strongest prescriptions could not calm the frenzy of 12 years of multi-faceted producing and DJing that would ensue before they landed at Finger Lickin'.

The DT's are myself and my long long long time best friend and business partner Nick Slater, we met at school when we were 13 years old, we had a mutual respect for each others musical tastes and both became addicted to the scene and the technology so we formed a band ,started buying records, keyboards and drum machines and 20 years later not much has changed "ha ha".Nick and myself formed Shades of Rhythm with our good friend Rayan G back in the late 80's (ancient) we went on to have a few rave classics like Sound of Eden and Sweet sensation "such a great time"We're currently writing a new album and DJing at various clubs and events around the world, fellow freinds and compardres in the breakbeat arena are: Soul of Man, Lee Coombs, Plump DJs, Rennie Pilgrim, Stanton Warriors, Koma and Bones, Autobots, DJ Friendly, JDS,Atomic Hooligan and many many more.
