ALEJANDRO VELAZQUEZBorn in Buenos Aires. July, 4th - 1971. At the age of 12, he began working at radios and in social events as DJ. By the end of the 80..s, trough the house sound, he begins to outline its style introducing it in acid, synthpop and the sound of industrial techno, always following the movements of the rock (glamrock, punk, newromantic). At the age of 17 Alejandro began playing at Buenos Aires clubs, crossing an extensive circuit from under to first level clubs(Somos,Mediterraneo,Johans,El Divino,Spell,BuenosAires News,Hooka,La Jaula,Babilonia,El Teatro,La Facultad,Spain,Chocolate,Museum,etc.). It was DJ support of bands like Catupecu Machu (in The Roxy), Villanos, La Justicia del Pato, Cafres and under bands. He produced his own TV show, Subi el Volumen on America TV Channel, that included notes to Argentina and worldwide bands. He interviewed artists like CHEMICAL BROTHERS, Ferry Corsten, Chris Fortier, David Byrne. and more. His friend, DJ and producer, Fernando Amabili (Big-Head - http://www.pmbmusic.com/), exerted a strong influence in his race working together in different points of the country. As of year 2000, he participates as guest in Deep House parties in Punta del Este Uruguay, developing a strong trajectory in important electronic music events. In the 2005 he participated in B.U.E. Mix Edition next to best artists like MORCHEBA, FISHERSPOONER, GREEN VELVET, MOSCA, DIEGO RO-k, among others. In season 2005-06 it resided in The Roxy Bariloche. Nowadays, he resides at THE ROXY Buenos Aires, where his main style is BREAKBEAT and produces his own tracks like Kataka (Mosquito mash-up), Standing by the disco floor (Reckless mix) , La Rubia Superstar (Dylan Rhymes vs Sumo),Hombre al Agua 2007 (Mosquito Yoda Mix) El Ojo de Shiva and Intoxicados - pila pila (funkymosquitos 2008). In the under, he makes music and remixes of ROCK bands tracks. His last work is about a remix of MessensherifF performer by THE GLAMMERS. BIOGRAFIA : En los 80 comenzo a trabajar en eventos y en radios como musicalizador . A fines de esta decada con el sonido del house , comienza a perfilar su estilo incursionando en el acid house, el synthpop y el sonido del techno industrial, siempre siguiendo los movimientos del rock (glamrock, punk, newromantic). A los 17 empiezan sus residencias en discotecas de Bs. As., recorriendo un extenso circuito desde el under a clubs de primer nivel(Somos,Mediterraneo,Johans,El Divino,Spell,BuenosAires News,Hooka,La Jaula,Babilonia,El Teatro,La Facultad,Spain,Chocolate,Museum,etc.). Fue DJ soporte de bandas de rock como Catupecu Machu (en The Roxy),Villanos, La Justicia Del Pato, Cafres y bandas under. Produjo su propio programa, Subi El Volumen, con notas a bandas de Argentina y el mundo. Entrevisto a artistas como Chemical Brothers, Ferry Corsten y Chris Fortier. Su amigo el DJ y productor Fernando Amabili (Big-Head - http://www.pmbmusic.com/), ejercio una fuerte influencia en su carrera trabajando juntos en diferentes puntos del pais. A partir del 2000 participa como DJ guest en fiestas Deep House en Punta Del Este y en el parador Fashion TV, desarrollando una fuerte trayectoria en importantes eventos de electronica. En 2004 comienza su residencia (gracias a la confianza del BOCHA Piatti) en THE ROXY.En el 2005 participa de la edicion B.U.E. Mix Edition junto a consagrados artistas como Morcheba, Fisherspooner, Green Velvet, Mosca, Diego Ro-k entre otros. En la temporada 2005-06 reside en The Roxy Bariloche,en 2007 en The Roxy bar buenos aires.Actualmente es dj guest en diferentes clubs, ademas de producir y remixar tracks del rock under y mainstream. . Alejandro Velazquez es un dj con un estilo Particular y Diferente, en donde sus sets con el breakbeat como eje, combinan house, techno, rock hasta hip-hop, improvisando en todas las pistas en donde se presenta,sientiendo al publico y haciendose sentir.
