Paul Crossman a.k.a General Midi has always managed to master a more level crunching, dub flavoured and bass fuelled musical ride than his peers and it is this that has earned him his fast growing reputation as the source of a great night out when hes at the controls and as
the producers producer.
Emerging from the backrooms of the Bristol Club scene his slick DJ ability and an ear for a great tune have given him regular appearances at hotspots across the planet.
Over the last few years General Midis singles have been released on some of the most respected breaks labels including TCR (Rennie Pilgrims label) & Kilowatt (Hypers label).
All of this has led to his debut album, 'Midi Style' out now on Distinctive!

"The boy wonder had been very busy of late taking him and his CD wallet round the globe, dropping breakbeat bombs developed in his and his co-pilot's Bristol studio. This is a double-header of featured tracks from the forthcoming compilation due to drop in July. Both tracks are coincidentally by GM and sound pretty damn good as well. 'F.U.N.K' kicks things off with a galloping bassline, arpeggiated riffs and Speak & Spell vocal samples. On the flip, 'NuOne' goes on a warping bassline-driven tip, complimented by mid-range blips and bleeps. Solid package all round. 4/5".
