Producer/singer Bobby D is one of the most electrifying performers to hit the stage. His show is a throwback comparble to artists such as James Brown or Prince- high falsetto, unbridled energy, and crazy dance moves! Bobby Dreadfull has a new funk band and is set to tear down some parties! He performs with an 8 piece 12 member band an all original tribal super funk set that is guaranteed to move any audience. For many years Bobby D has been producing different genres of music for various artists. He was the key producer at the Lions Den studio working with artists such as K-OS, Andrew Whiteman (Broken Social Scene), Allastair, Legend, Godzillah and others. Eventually this led Bobby to experiment with tribal house and funk and also inspired him to sing. His first single was an independant release (distributed by Nuff-Ent. 2003) called Get Down a thumping four-on- the floor funky-house track, featuring a unique hi-energy videoFACT supported video, shot in Jamaica, and still in rotation on MUCHMUSIC. The single speaks of universal love, political injustice and our need to Get Down!. The next single also supported by a hot and sexy video Za Za ZE is a tribal funk jam that was featured at the Reel World Film Festival. Both videos were voted as videoFACTs favourite picks and are both still in rotation on radio and t.v. Music and performance have proven to be the perfect outlet for Bobbys incredible passion for dancing and universal unity. Now with the help of his new band dubbed the Breastfed Super Heroes which includes heavy-hitters such as Malik Worthy (Esthero,Graph Nobel,K-OS) Jeremy Elliott (Staggered Crossing) Eli Mullin (Funk All-Stars), Joaqin Hidalgo (Diana Krall),Yoser Vargas, Peter Leung,Omar Martinez(Ivanni Santilli, Jacksoul), Kristy Morin, Angelica Montessano, Nick See and Garfield Cooljuice. Dreadfull has been ripping up spots with recent shows in Toronto at The B-side for the NXNE festival, Revival and The Mod Club,Canadian Music Week, Lee's Palace ,The Speakeasy and on Breakfast Television (Toronto), Afriikadey Festival(Calgary/06), Eglinton Theatre for Niche Magazine lauch party with overwhelming response. Dreadfull plans to take the show on the road in the spring and spread the words of luv n funk. Lately he has also been producing some soul riveting funk music for his upcoming album including the soon to be released single Exotic Sugar a bangin funk/rock pop tune supported by a sexy, fairytale type video (videoFACT funded) shot by award-winning director George Vale (Sum41, Tea Party, Rolling Stones) and directed by Dreadfull. The song has huge high-rotation potential for both t.v. and radio and has all the ingredients for commercial success. Also get ready for the upcoming single Oh No featuring Virgin Music recording artist Kardinal Offishall! Dreadfulls latest album in the works is due for release spring 2007and leans towards an uptempo funk/soul album and includes beautiful soul-driven singing by Dreadfull.
