I,ve played keyboards from the age of 8 and have written my own stuff since I was 13. I got bored of learning classical stuff , although I do enjoy playing around with it and squeeking the F**k out of it. Almost like a kind of vengeance for having to put up with all the stuffy old prudes from my past. I,ve always been adventurous and was over the moon when I found out about the digital revolution. It suddenly allowed me to put together shit loads of tracks that played different sounds and it completley took me over. I,m the son of an ex vicar and still the biggest athiest around and proud of it. I had to play the church organ until I was 13 and this is probably why my music is a bit quirky now that I,ve been free to express myself more. I have 3 children that take up a lot of my time but I wouldn,t give them up for anything. They inspire me so much and make me laugh and cry. They are my everything. I am at present trying to build my studio so that I can fulfill my potential and really let myself go. For years now I,ve been suppressed by lack of space. I should imagine there,s a few million of you out there that know what I,m talking about. I,d love to be really sucessful so that I could open up places for people to record for free and see what the digital and analogue world is all about and how interesting it,s always been. It just gets better and better for me. It,s such a world away from when I had to put pen tp paper and shove them notes down fast enough to not forget what you,re doing. Frustrating times. I,m so impressed with the vast variety of styles and genres of music coming out from all corners of all countries now. I,m particularly loving the experimental side of things. The merging of so many different sounds is just unbelievable and so interesting. If people can,t see that the internet has so many ways of promoting themselves then I guess they were never destined for much anyway. It,s an amazing tool and getting better and bigger by the second. There is room for everyone and every kind of music that can be thrown at you.
