About Me
Inigo Surio aka DJ Largo, was born in San Sebastian in 1971. He started DJing at 16 in his Dad's bar in San Sebastian. At 18, and in the year of 1989 he moved to London and first felt the House music vibe in underground parties in the capital.After 2 years in London he moved back to San Sebastian immersed himself in the Spanish the party scene. Largo played at many clubs across norhern Spain, including Ku and Keops.Following several years of playing in Spanish clubs he moved back to Cambridge-England. He began working with Clueless Systems who were a well know group of DJ's in Cambridge.DJ Lulu carried on, after the Clueless system was dissolved, forming Digital Disco, a collective of visual artist, dancers and DJ's with DJ Largo, joined by Jim Masters.Digital Disco played in various clubs thoughout England including The End(London), Velvet Undergroud(London), and had their own nights at The Junction(Cambridge), Pagoa(San Sebastian), Kanzlei(Zurich).At Digital Disco Largo shared the DJ Booth with Laurent Garnier, Derrick May, Carl Craig, Richie Hawtin, Pure Science, Carl Cox, Talvin Singh, Dave Angel, Nathan Coles and many, many more. At the same time he was resident with Vigi(Streetwise/.T.C.R), Mr B(Streetwise) at Subfunk, sharing the DJ booth with, among others, Dave Mothersole and Matthew Bushwacka.
Also Largo is remenbered for his long and ecleptic sets in Glastonbury of '99,2004 and 2005 with all the Cambridge legends like Vigi,Mr.B.Currently Largo is living in East London and has started a new night Bottom Heavy with the legendary Jim Masters, bringing stars of the underground such as Derrick May, Josh Wink, Dave Angel and Kenny Hawkes to CambridgeLargo is also now resident dj and promotor at Unwire(r.factory,lnd),whire the iron melts..(cafe 1001,lnd),neat therapy(sol central,lnd),milk(the egg,lnd),bottom heavy(diferent venues,soul tree in cambridge,ministry of sound in london,aru student union in cambridge
Largo spends the rest of his time in the studio producing and playing out across and Europe both live and with records.Largo is currently building his own record label Beiak Records with Zero (Streetwise/T.C.R). The label genre is techno electro house and minimal house
