DJ Slauka’s music is shedding new skins every day. 9 years in the UK have sent her through a melodic odyssey through which she always finds herself immersed in the newest yet most authentic sound scenes of London.Originally from East Slovakia, Slauka Jurcisinova, 27, discovered her talent in music in her late teens and then quickly found her own way of moving through the styles that influenced her the most. In the early part of the millennium she was picking up the basics in music whilst also spinning records in parties throughout London.Once again the music changed Slauka, she grew one step further away from techno,trance and one step closer to her own style of delivering ELECTRONICA, (IDM, LEFTFIELD, GLITCHY HOP, ACID & CRUNCHY, up and downbeat).From Electronica, Slauka discovered other new avenues and is now proud to promote her diversity in music culture, she found herself working with a new genre that young artists are experimenting with today: DUBSTEP, a derision from roots, reggae, dub and dancehall music. Slauka teamed up with other DJ’s, Greggae and Fenomeno and they presented and performed under the name ‘Grand Union Cresecent’. Since then Slauka has played with other artists, namely Monique (lovethechaos, Barcelona) amongst many other DJ’s. Slovak DJ Slauka had also been known for her residency at MultiVitamins till April 2007, this was organized by Doudou Malicious, she also featured at the 218 festival, 2005.Today DJ Slauka is resident of her own Electronica night, MelOtroniC, at the Café 1001, and also a Dubstep night called R.E.N.E.G.A.D.E together with DJ and producer Hi Fidel Cartel, working also with Mr. MC Kemon - Caribbean microphone champion..! Slauka also manages to find time to play at various other gigs upon request.Slauka is passionate about her music and plays mainly UK-produced tracks, she is familiar with many of the artists that created what she plays.
