About Me

Johnny Davies. Classically trained, choir boy turned minimal house producer. Started playing the violin at the tender age of three, and later took on the piano and percussion, both kit and tuned/ orchestral. Was a chorister at Jesus college choir in Cambridge and was head boy for a year. Played violin in and lead the school orchestra. Started producing music on an atari at the age of 13, and started listening to house around the age of 18. Has played gigs in Madrid, San Sebastien and Budapest, as well as regular dates in Cambridge, London, and all across the uk. Has shared the booth with Derrick May, Mr C, Jim Masters, Chicken Lips, Paul Woolford, Pure Science and Jon Carter. With an active role in the free party scene favorite gigs have to include the Labour Of Love Thames boat party as well as the Pacemaker tunnel parties and barn parties. Having released a debut single (Olivers Twisted) on HorsePlay Records, productions are coming thick and fast with an EP on Mark-Henning's 'Clever Music' and two more EPs on HorsePlay Records. His latest productions see him working with Sam I Am from 'The Priory' and Anthony Reckitt. Together they wrote 'Chase HQ' which has been picked up and played in clubs all over europe to a great response. DJ gigs include a monthly residency at the HorsePlay night, a residencey at Cootilicious and regular guest slots around the country including appearences at Cafe 1001 on Brick Lane, and at 'The Rhythm Factory' in London.
