One of London's longest running and most respected club nights, Chew The Fat! has been a the cutting edge of dance music in the UK for more than a decade. Orignating in the drum n bass parties promoted by founder Paul 'Trouble' Arnold, the weekly night at the Bug Bar in Brixton soon became a staple of the South London clubbing scene. Showcasing a variety of DJs, over time it became known for being one of the breaks hotspots as an ever increasing number of household names rocked the house. Adam Freeland, Plump DJs, Tayo, Freq Nasty, Meat Katie and Krafty Kuts all made early appearances at Chew The Fat!
Fat! has never been just about the breaks though. Look back at the old flyers and you'll see names as diverse as Tom Middleton, FC Kahuna, James Zabiela, Rodney P, Radioactive Man, Richard Sen, Toby Tobias, Paul Woolford and D Ramirez have taken to the Fat! decks over the years. With dance music changing at an ever increasing pace, Fat's musical outlook has changed and grown with the times. DJs in recent months have included Skream, Dave Spoon, Duke Dumont, Zombie Disco Squad, Riton, Punks Jump Up, Hannah Holland, Miles Dyson, The Rogue Element and many more. With residencies at We Love... at Space in Ibiza and events all over the world, the Fat! sound continues to rock dancefloors all over the world.
