In a world where the music fraternity is so competitive, here is a promising singer Milton Blake, with his smooth voice and original lyrics is ready to capture the heart of millions of fans across the globe.
Born from a middle class family, Dorothy and Malachi Blake in the Spanish Town Hospital in the parish of St Catherine on the 8th of August 1970. Milton did not grow with his parents instead with relitives in the community of Central Village. Living in this community where political violence is on the hike, he did not rooted himself in that field. instead he focused on his school work. He attented the Gregroy Park All-Age School then St. Catherine High after achieving a pass through the Common Entrance Examination in 1982. Little "C" affectionately called by friends was a great break dancer back in those days, performing at fetes and barbeques, with a dance group by the name on Venomite (piosonous snake), but dancing was his main objective, he love singing, which he was very good at, he had the audience screaming for more whenever he performed.
Joinery was where he got his income to survive, but getting a lot of vibes from his friends and relatives, he started to take his singing career on a serious level. There was a sound system in the community by the name of Stereo Tone Hi-Fi, this sound played every Friday and Saturday nights, this was where he developed his singing skills. Artists like Lt.Stitchie Admiral Tibet, Luciano and many more usually work out with this sound. After getting the maturity of voice he needed, Milton started to hang out at studios hoping to find a producer who would expose his talent to the world. He did his first audition at Kings Jammys' Studios in 1988, but wasn't given a chance to record a song, even though the song was well recieved. After trodding the road searching for the break he needed he came to realize it wasn't easy, so he gave it a break and went back to his trade Joinery
Being that no matter what he did he wasn't satisfied, he returned to the streets of the capital city of Kingston, studio to studio, night after night. Sometimes without eating but tugging hoping his dream would turn to reality. Through perseverance he never gave up the fight. Milton started to hang out at the mixing lab in the mid 90s, where he met Steelie and Cleevie and did a song for them combination with Bingie General(major Mackerel brother), what happened to that song he doesn't know. Grooming himself in the business Milton started to voice songs for a lot of producers, he did a cover version for Pick Out Records. He also did a song for Dwight Pinkney of Roots Radics band, entitled "HE LIVES" which was released on the Ketty Vibration Album which consisted of various artists. He did songs for the Henfield Records titled " THANK YOU JAH" and "GOVERNMENT" both were well received locally and internationally. Milton is now seeing the light at the other end of the tunnel and is constantly voicing songs. His latest hot singles are "PEOPLE NEED JAH", "NEVER STOP I" a combination with Capleton both on the Platinum Recording label. GHETTO VIBES & PEOPLE HOLD ON STRONG.
