Carlos Giffoni says: 'I first met Joke Lanz four or five years ago in New York, during his US-tour. I was immediately blown away by his work, by its ferocitiy and precision. I had been experimenting in similar areas in my solo performances and in recordings with the Old Bombs trio, and had heard of Joke through his involvement in Schimpfluch-Gruppe, but nothing could prepare me for the cut-up insanity of Sudden Infant's performance. This current collaboration has its origins in a joint performance in a shady pub in East London in 2004, though in between then and the time this record was made our styles had diverged - Sudden Infant still ferocious and precise but with a whole new refreshing approach to physical sounds - me still looking for the perfect frequency to make the audience come in their pants. Combine these approaches and you get a true oscillating orgy.' Recordings have been exchanged and reworked, and finalised when the two played together again at Blå club in Oslo in 2006.
