HIVE- NEW ELECTRONIC MUSIC FOR LIVERPOOL

About Me

The Hive Collective has been promoting live electronic music in Liverpool since 2003, bringing top quality international acts to the city whilst supporting local and regional musicians, VJs and visual artists. Most events take place in the Box, part of the FACT centre on Wood Street. This is a unique venue for electronica as it's got a massive cinema screen, lovely red sofas and most importantly- crystal clear sound. We try to to book a broad range of acts ranging from the glitch/minimal axis through dubstep, crunchy IDM to ambient and melodic folktronica-ish stuff. We've also done shows in art galleries and clubs elsewhere (such as the Korova bar Liverpool, the Tate Gallery and the Sightsonic festival in York).
In November 2005 we organised Liverpool's first two day festival of electronic music.
