Raised as a teenager on a diet of Old Skool Rave + Happy Hardcore, Rich Furness has been Dj'ing for 10 years, his love for all music and his extensive record collection meaning hes at home playing Dubstep, House, Drum n Bass, Techno, Breaks, Breakcore, Hardcore, Hip Hop, Dub, Reggae, Old Skool and even Trance sets, along with 80's + 90's, Party Tunes + other random genres, sometimes all mixed into one mashed up set.
Rich currently holds down 3 residencys in his hometown of Liverpool.
First up, he's the newest recruit for easily one of the U.K's biggest club nights, Chibuku Shake Shake. After impressing with 2 sets alongside Mary Anne Hobbs + Skream in 2007, he became Chibuku's 16th resident in 2008, ready to leap into action to play alongside some of the biggest names in the world at one of the countrys most iconic club nights.
Alongside his long standing Dj partner and best mate Frankie Venom, he's also Monthly resident @ one of Liverpools busiest Drum n Bass nights, Heavy Rot8ion @ The Lemon Lounge, and last but not least at his own night Jasbof which he co-promotes with his poisonous friend.
As well as those residencies Rich and Frankie are both regular fixtures at Liverpools mighty Dubstep shindig, the immense Dreadnought, at Foul Play, another of Liverpools top Drum n Bass nights, and at the rare occuring but quite monstrous Warehouse Mash Partys at secret locations in the city.
Over the years Rich has appeared at a host of big nights for well established names, as well as smaller up and coming nights, including Metropolis, Voodoo, North, HIVE, Oblivion, The Techno Experiment, Sophonic, Gutterfunk, Alcatraz, Subliminal Discharge, Rigormortis, The Warehouse Party, Substance, Dark + Digital, Crack Zombie, Subsonica, Insomnia, Cubitt, Blushing Melons, delaWhere?, One Army, Diversity, Havaganda, Doomzday + Undercover.
Playing near enough all of the genres mentioned above, Rich has got to play a variety of nights at a variety of venues, and has played at venues in Liverpool including Nation (Home of Cream), one of the most famous clubs in the world The Cavern, The Carling Academy, The Masque, The Zanzibar, Le Bateau, The Magnet and many more, plus venues across the country such as The Phoenix, The Music Box & The Scubar in Manchester, The Sanctuary in Birmingham, Lakota in Bristol, The Void in Stoke On Trent, SeOne in London and The Blueprint in Nottingham. Whilst playing in all these venues Rich has had the chance to play on some of the best sound systems around, including Funktion 1, Phazon, The mighty Seqouia rig from Sheffield, Liverpools powerhouse Dangerclaart Soundsystem, and probably one of the most famous rigs in the world, Dillinja & Lemon D's almighty Valve Soundsystem.
Rich's genre hopping has seen him appear on line ups alongside some of the biggest names from across a wide range of scenes, people like Dj Hype, Andy C, Adam F, Dillinja, Grooverider, Nicky Blackmarket, Evol Intent, Benga, Mary Anne Hobbs, Skream, Trojan Soundsystem, Kode 9, Shackleton, Appleblim, Caspa + Rusko, Mrk1, Scratch Perverts, Sinden, Lenny Dee, Mark Eg, Venetian Snares, Kid 606, Drop The Lime, Exile, Knifehandchop, Shitmat, Sickboy, Enduser, Bong Ra, Otto Von Schirach, Dj Producer, Luke Slater, Bam Bam, Lottie, Jamie Bissmire, Jerome Hill, Felix Da Housecat, Antony Rother, James Holden, Reverend + The Makers + Many More.
