Gift 93 Remix Project as part of Liverpool Biennial 2006
This is a track that I made in response to the Gift exhibition at the 2006 Liverpool Biennial, a project by Daniel Simpkins and Penny Whitehead. One hundred and forty artists contributed an object that they bought or found with the intention of using in an artwork, a source of inspiration or a starting point for a work that was never made. In response members of the public were invited to make something from these materials. I made this track entirely by sampling noises made by the pink toy phone that you can see in the video- no other sound sources or synthesisers were used.
