Influences: Kori:
Mikael Akerfeldt of OPETH,Max Cavalera of Soulfly,Randy Blythe Lamb of God, Corey Taylor of Slipknot and Stone SOUR, Dez Fafara of Coal Chamber and Devil Driver. As far as vocalists go i really like hearing a distinct voice and knowing who it is. Intelligent mind screwing lyrics help out significantly as well. I love when lyricists almost seem blind to culture, and break the boundries of poetic brilliance. But what influences me to sing and write is everyone that i encounter and make an impression on me whether being good or bad. Reality and the daily grind have always been the cataylst for words not always spoken. I like several types of music, but my heart and soul is into metal. Also, boobies have a big influence on me that drive me to sing.
Jon:
Misfits! DK! Op Ivy! Ramones! Faith No More! GWAR!!! Jerry Garcia, Napalm Death, DJANGO REINHARDT! The soundtrack to Hope Floats! Just kidding on that one. I'm a sponge. I listen to everything from something to something else which is different than the first something. You heard me.
Craig:
Darkane, Dark Tranquillity, At The Gates, Meshuggah, In Flames, Earlier Soilwork, Children of Bodom, Eric Johnson, and Chet Atkins.
Ogre:
As far as listening to music my influences were early metallica, pantera, and any other kick ass metal that I have had the opportunity to listen to. As far as my musicianship there are four people that have really shaped my style and they are Jeremy McCoy from The Coventry Sacrifice, Jon and Craig from the band we are fortunate to be a part of, and a friend of my pops Chuck Misourelle (who hooked me up with my first guitar and started me down the path I now tread).
Chris:
Well I would have to say that IronMaiden & Motor Head started it off then that led into Metal Church, Slayer, MOD, SOD, DRI, Megadeth, Anthrax. Then as time rolled on I've found that Machine Head, Mushroom Head, Mudvayne, Meshuggah, In Flames, Opeth, GWAR, help keep me driven. I feel that our sound (The Killer Strangelet sound) will also be added to the "sounds like no other list" for every one else too, like it does for me. Peace~N~Stuff
