About Me
This is what happened when I asked some friends to record some of my tunes. I guess it's just the Spitfires with Jay from the Black Halos playing guitar and me singing, but it sure was fun. hope you dig......and well I guess I should lengthen this now and say a little more, so that people might take more interest when my record is done. I've been really into music since I can remember, and it's afforded me the chance to meet and play with some of my favorite musicians. Great early trips to mention would be roadie-ing on a Murder City Devils tour and also one with L7. More recently I've toured the US, Canada, UK and mainland Europe with my own bands as well, and hope that I'll be able to see all the other corners of the globe with this project. I've played some music here and there over the years, namely in Vancouver bands like Black Halos, the Spitfires, and most recently in the Loyalties, a UK based band made up of ex-members of the Yoyos, Lurkers, Halos, Cherrykicks and Amen. We recently had a riot over in Germany, and Italy, from what I can remember. I've been on over 30 releases worldwide, either on comps, videos, singles or full length albums. Most notably on labels like Junk, Estrus, Green Hell, Glazed, Longshot, Twenty Stone Blatt, Out of the Loop, and worked with several notable booking agencies including the Agency Group. Unfortunately the bands I've been in have either self destructed or sabatoged their own careers by being silly drunks. In the meantime I moved to Germany, learned the language fluently and wrote a tonne of songs. Rich Jones (Bass Knives, New York Loose, Yoyos, Betty Curse, Amen, the list never ends...) visited me in Germany periodically and when I joined him on a tour with Emanuel he convinced me the songs were good and to keep going. I started writing with him via email and Garageband. The new project was called the Loyalties which we based out of London. Returning to Vancouver made the Loyalties difficult to play with and led me to write more music for my solo project. This new project will again be a collaboration of friends, including Jay Solyom (producer of the Nasty On, Sreadeagle, Riff Randles) and Howard Redekopp (producer of 5440, New Pornographers, the Organ, Tegan and Sara etc.) and musicians Jay Millette and Rich Jones (both ex-Black Halos) helping out writing and playing guitar. Marty Peters, longtime drummer of the Spitfires, will be on the skins and yours truly on vocals. Perhaps someone will release it, perhaps not, but perhaps it will be the biggest damn thing ever. Well, I'd settle for a tour in Japan! Press stuff coming soon, but feel free to touch base should you be interested in any further info regarding the project. Mach's gut, bis bald...Good News... Yeah Right Records has announced they will release the CD/LP for North America!!
