Since forming in 2004 as a veritable super-group of fresh-faced local teenaged punk rock talent, The Jolts have emerged as Vancouver’s premier punk rock and roll outfit, playing both sold-out headlining shows, and supporting spots for many touring punk rock bands including the Dwarves, Vibrators, Hanson Brothers, Queers, Black Halos, Valient Thorr, DOA, Ripcordz, Moral Crux, Tranzmitors, Manges, Methadones, NoMeansNo and more.
In 2006, The Jolts self-released their debut EP, Jinx, which quickly amassed a great deal of attention both locally, where it charted at number 2 for the entire 2006 year on UBC Radio CITR, and internationally where it has been distributed digitally and traditionally through IODA, Scratch Records and Interpunk.
Since the 2006 release of Jinx, The Jolts have been touring relentlessly to deliver hundreds of electrifying live performances to crowded clubs, halls, barns, radio stations, backyards and bowling alleys in over fifty cities across Western Canada, Washington and Oregon; and now, with a degree in rock & roll, a heat-sharpened live set and their debut full-length album, Haute Voltage in tow, The Jolts are poised for dominance and supremacy. 2008 will see The Jolts set out to knock off 100 shows, world-wide.
