I started playing guitar at the age of 6 not long after seeing Elvis play.about a year later my grandmother died and left me her piano.at the age of 7 i started playing piano, music was my salvation since i never played sport's and was not popular in school . i kept learning more in music and pursued studies in music ,classical guitar and piano, ragtime music, the beatles and instrumental music, my parent's were alway's behind me and gave me lot's of support , how can you not love parents like that!i have started several bands in the past, the sidewalk surfers, humble beginnings, 90 proof, Black pearl, simple truth, masticating thespianst , steve who, and now just .... Steve CariffeChelsea runnals: steve is one of the best musicians i have ever heard, he was so ahead of his time back in 1985 , one of he most articulate musicians at the time, progressive and pop like at the same time, you wont find that in too many musicians, reminiscent at times of roger waters and then he turns around and changes things up on you and makes you think of kiss , steve vai, van halen and judas priest, then he throws the classical thing at you ,and then the credence clearwater and beatleesque thing your way, how much more versatile does on man have to be!!??!!??john rerrucca, steve has entertained me for years, one of north county's best kept secrets, he can play just about anything, just don't ask him to play someone elses songs, he is an original player , he can fake his way through someone elses song but he truly shines when he plays his own, a truly original player, a can do type of player , just jam with him and find out, truly unique.stephen- i worked with him in a band called steve who, and then the masticating thespians , whenever i had an idea for a song he always was able to come uo with whatever idea i had, he was able to translate exactly what i was trying to convey musically, all you had to do was start playing and he automatically knew what to do , it was just amazingDaryl, of all the songs i have done with him , he so impressed me when he asked me what my favorite chords were and wrote a song on the spot , including lyrics, and had it recorded within 10 minutes, with the lead guitar and everything, if you get the chance listen to the song dream and tell me your opinion, a very talented manJay , steve is one of those rare individuals that all you have to do is start playing , and he has an intuitive instinct for harmony it seems he always plays what you think will fit, such a gem to play with, it's almost like he's reading your mind
